District of Columbia Guard Enlistment Incentive

the District of Columbia National Guard Bonus for Referrak Initiative for District Guard Enlistments (BRIDGE)

The Bonus for Referral Initiative for District Guard Enlistments (BRIDGE) is an exclusive initiative for the District of Columbia National Guard to incentivize recruitment through its current members and veterans. This program offers a generous $1,000 reward for any lead referrals provided by District of Columbia National Guard members and veterans that successfully result in new enlistments. BRIDGE aims to leverage the insights and networks of those with first-hand experience with the National Guard’s benefits and commitments, effectively fostering a community-driven approach to recruitment.

ELIGIBILITY

District of Columbia National Guard members and veterans may register as BRIDGE Assistants. All current members of the District of Columbia National Guard can participate in BRIDGE. Veterans who have served in the District of Columbia National Guard can also participate. Guard members assigned, attached, or affiliated (full-time, part-time, temporary status, or performing Active Duty for Operational Support) to the Recruiting Command for the DC ANG or the DC ARNG and their immediate family members cannot participate in this program.

HOW IT WORKS

Registration

To apply to become a BRIDGE Assistant, fill out the registration form below. You will be emailed an invitation to access the BRIDGE Portal where you will submit the required paperwork to include a BRIDGE Assistant Agreement, W-9, and provide proof of service or veteran status. Once you have registered, you can start submitting leads.

Lead Referral

All lead referrals will be submitted through DCNGBRIDGE.com. You must sign and upload the BRIDGE Assistant Agreement when you submit the lead. You must use the same email address you used for registration when submitting leads. Once the program manager has verified that you are registered and have completed the necessary paperwork, your lead will be assigned to a local recruiter.

Payment

When a lead enlists and begins training with the DC NG, the assistant will earn $1000 per recruit after fulfilling the assistant agreement's terms and conditions. The Enlistment Verification and Certification and Request for Payment forms must be submitted to receive this payment. Payment is limited to five recruits per fiscal year unless audited and approved for more by the Department of the Military under full BRIDGE compliance. These payments are taxable, and the District of Columbia will issue form 1099 for tax reporting purposes. Only current DC NG members or qualified veterans are eligible to receive BRIDGE payments.

Duties

BRIDGE assistants will be expected to guide, motivate, and encourage recruits until the recruit ships to initial training to provide guidance, mentorship, and support. The assistant shall perform other duties related to the enlistment action as deemed necessary or directed by the Adjutant General.
